I have been teaching for over 20 years. My hometown is Elkhart, IN.  I have a Bachelor of Music degree from St. Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana and a Master's degree of teaching from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. I hold a Level III Schulwerk Certificate of music education and attend numerous conferences and workshops that teach this approach to music education.  I became a nationally board certified teacher in 2011.

I am from Fairfax,Virginia. I came to work for MCPS in 2001. I have my undergraduate degree in English from VT, and my master's in Education from George Mason University. I have taught English for over 15 years. I have been a teacher in Tanzania, East Africa, Washington, D.C. , Fairfax County, VA and Montgomery County, Va. I currently serve Gilbert Linkous and Margaret Beeks Elementary Schools.

Robert Guinn: Library Media Specialist 

Bob started teaching fourth grade in 1976 at GLE and also taught third grade. He started as Library Media Specialist at GLE in 2002. He earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education from Ohio University, a Master’s degree in Elementary Administration from Radford University, and a Virginia Library Media Specialist license from Radford University. From 2002 to 2021, Bob worked with thousands of students promoting a love of reading while also helping teachers use technology to enhance their instruction. His contributions for 45 years as an educator will never be forgotten and he will be missed!
