I grew up just outside of Atlanta, Georgia and attended the University of Georgia (Go DAWGS) as an undergrad and Kennesaw State University for my masters program. I earned my master's degrees in Elementary Education, Middle Grades Science and Language Arts, and Gifted Education. My family moved to Virginia in 1999. My husband and I have seven children who are all grown now. As of 2020, I have been teaching for 26 years. I have taught 3rd, 5th, and 7th grades and am so happy to be back in 5th grade. When I am not teaching, I enjoy working in the yard, reading, and traveling. I am excited to be a part of the Gilbert Linkous family. GLE is the place to be!
