Hello, my name is Anna Nester.  I grew up in North Carolina where I attended The School of Education at UNC-Greensboro.  The Dual Major program at UNCG allowed me to get my degree in Elementary (K-6) and Special Education (K-12).  Prior to teaching second grade at Gilbert Linkous Elementary, I taught seventh grade Math and Language Arts to students with disabilities.  I also taught inclusion classes with the general education teachers in all subject areas.  I am proud to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed my move to Virginia.  The surrounding communities are beautiful with the amazing mountain backdrop.  This community has also been very welcoming and the parents here are all involved and interested in the education of their children.  I am grateful to have found and to have been welcomed to such a wonderful school – GLE really is the place to be!
