Building a Learning Community That Inspires Individual Growth
Welcome From Principal Slonka

Carol SlonkaGreetings Gilbert Linkous Elementary Families,

As the recently appointed principal of Gilbert Linkous Elementary, I wanted to take a moment to briefly introduce myself to our school community.

I am a native of Franklin County, VA, where I grew up and completed high school.  I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Ferrum College, my M.Ed. from VA Tech, and I completed a cohort program through the University of VA to fulfill requirements for my Administration and Supervision endorsement.

Prior to coming to Gilbert Linkous, I served as an Assistant Principal in Prince William County Public Schools.

I am very excited to join the Gilbert Linkous team, and I look forward to a fun, productive year working with our students and families. If there is ever anything that I can do for you or your child, please do not hesitate to let me know.
